General Information

The Society of Physics Students hosts an Annual Pumpkin Drop. We start with music, drinks, and student organizations (including activities and goodies). Then we have a free costume contest, for anyone who would like to participate, that includes prizes for various categories. We also bring out some of our more rarely appearing demos such as the bed of nails and cornstarch run. The final event is the actual dropping of pumpkins, big and small, that have been frozen in Liquid Nitrogen so that they shatter upon impact. This event will be free and open to both the university and public. We invite student organizations to contact us (see below and fill out this pumpkin drop and table form) if they would like to have a table. If you would like to volunteer for the event or the lead up please fill out this volunteer form. Please select one or more positions on our form to make this event happen!
